Welfare Reform Bill Divisions, Report Stage day 1

On the 25th January 2016 two votes took place during the first day of Report Stage on the Government’s Welfare Reform and Work Bill.

The Bishop of Durham, the Rt Revd Paul Butler, put his own amendment to a vote.  It required Government to continue to report on child poverty using income as an indicator.

The Bishops of Durham, Portsmouth, St Albans and Worcester all voted Content with the amendment. No bishop voted Not Content.
Second Division
Crossbench Peer Lord Ramsbotham moved an amendment to clause 4 of the Bill, to insert the words “the health and wellbeing of”.
