On 23rd February 2017 the House of Lords voted on an amendment to the Government’s Neighbourhood Planning Bill. The Archbishop of York took part in the vote:

Lord Stunell moved amendment 18, in clause 13, page 14, line 5, at end to insert:
“(2A) No regulations shall be made under subsection (1) that would have the effect of preventing a local planning authority from requiring a condition that would otherwise be in conformity with the national planning policy framework.”
The House divided:
Contents: 113 | Not Contents: 107 | Result: Government Defeat
The Archbishop of York voted Content.
