On 29th November 2021, the House of Lords debated the Public Service Pensions and Judicial Offices Bill in the report stage. A vote was held on an amendment to the bill, in which a Bishop took part:

The Bishop of Durham took part in a vote on an amendment to the bill tabled by Lord Ponsonby of Shulbrede, which would would set the judicial retirement age to 72, rather than 75.
The amendment was disagreed. Content: 147 / Not Content: 211
The Bishop of Durham voted Not Content.
