Votes: Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill

On 17th April 2024, the House of Lords debated Commons reasons and amendments to the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill. Votes were held on further amendments to the bill, in which Bishops took part:

Division 1:

The Bishop of Oxford and the Bishop of Worcester took part in a vote on an amendment tabled by Lord Hope of Craighead, stipulating that the question of Rwanda’s safety should be subject to report and scrutiny from the independent monitoring committee, and that the conditions of the Rwanda Treaty must be adhered to in order for the country to be considered safe.
