The Bishop of London received the following written answer on 24th March 2025:
The Lord Bishop of London asked His Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of the introduction of a universal priority services register for utility services.
Baroness Jones of Whitchurch (Lab, DBT): The government recognises the importance of identification and support for the vulnerable in utility services. My officials in the Department for Business and Trade are engaging with regulators and other government departments to establish the best way to achieve this and encourage regulators to progress work in this important area.
