On 24th February 2026, the House of Lords debated the Tobacco and Vapes Bill. Votes were held on amendments to the bill, in which a Bishop took part:

The Bishop of Manchester took part in a vote on an amendment to the bill tabled by Lord Murray of Blidworth which would “ seek to remove the generational ban for tobacco products in England and Wales by raising the age of sale to 21.”
