On 11th December, two bishops took part in a division on the Government’s Energy Bill, during ‘ping pong’ between the House of Lords and House of Commons.

Crossbench Peer Lord Oxburgh moved Motion A2, which related to fossil fuel plants and their emissions.
The Bishop of St Albans voted ‘content’. The Bishop of Chester voted ‘not content’.
There were Contents: 215 / Not Contents: 262. Result: Government Win
