Divisions – Enterprise Bill

On 30 November 2015 the House of Lords considered the Government’s Enterprise Bill at its Report Stage. Votes were held on three amendments and the Bishop of Chester, Rt Revd Peter Forster, took part in all three divisions.

The House divided:

Amendment 70ZC from Lord Mendelsohn to insert a new clause: Market rent only; conditions and triggers.

The House divided: Contents: 229 | Not Contents: 208 | Result: Government Defeat

 The Bishop of Chester voted not content.


Amendment 70B from Baroness Hayter of Kentish Town souhgt to remove part of the Bill relating to Public sector employment: restrictions on exit payments and reducing or eliminating pension entitlement on early retirement.

Contents: 113 | Not Contents: 152 | Result: Government Win

The Bishop of Chester voted not content.
