Votes – Offensive Weapons Bill

On 19th March 2019 the House of Lords considered the Government’s Offensive Weapons Bill. A vote took place on an amendment to the Bill, in which two bishops took part:

Lord Kennedy of Southwark moved amendment 8, in clause 38, page 32, line 32, at end to insert:
“(aa) the delivery is not made by a trusted courier of bladed products, and”.

 

The House divided:

Contents: 234 | Not Contents: 213 | Result: Government Defeat
The Bishop of St Albans voted Content, the Bishop of Chester voted Not Content.
