Introduction: The Lord Archbishop of York
On Monday 7th September 2020 the Bishop of Manchester, Rt Revd David Walker, took his oath to become a Member of the House of Lords, joining the Lords Spiritual on the Bishops’ Benches. Bishop David was supported by his two sponsors the Bishops of Birmingham and Worcester, in an introduction ceremony that was modified to accommodate social distancing rules in Parliament.

On Thursday 6th February 2020 the Bishop of Blackburn, Rt Revd Julian Henderson, was introduced to the House of Lords, sponsored by the Bishops of Carlisle and St Albans.
From Hansard: “On 2nd July, 2019, Rt Revd Elizabeth Jane, Lord Bishop of Derby, was introduced and took the oath, supported by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York, and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct of the House of Lords.”
She and her two sponsors, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, spoke in the Bishops’ Robing Room shortly before the introduction:
On 23rd October 2018 the Bishop of Bristol, Rt Revd Vivienne Faull, was introduced to the House of Lords, and took her seat. Her sponsors were the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of Salisbury.

On Thursday 24th May 2018 the Bishop of London, Rt Revd Sarah Mullally, was Introcuced to the House of Lords by the Archbishop of Canterbury and Bishop of Chichester, and took her seat on the Bishops’ Benches.

On Tuesday 21 November 2017 at 2.38 pm the right reverend and right honourable Richard John Carew Chartres, KCVO, lately Bishop of London, was introduced and took the oath, supported by Baroness O’Neill of Bengarve and Lord Luce, and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct.
Lord Chartres will sit as an independent Crossbench Peer.
On 14th September 2017 the Bishop of Lincoln, Rt Revd Christopher Lowson, was introduced to the House of Lords and took his seat. The Bishops of Gloucester and Newcastle acted as his supporters. Here is a description of the ceremony of introduction:

On Tuesday 19 July 2016 Rt Revd Steven Croft was introduced to the House of Lords as Bishop of Oxford. Bishop Steven had sat in the Lords as the Bishop of Sheffield, but as is traditional when translating to another diocesan see, needed to be Introduced to the Lords again in his new role.
